How it all started

Welcome to the Lomo Truck, your local hub for authentic Peruvian cuisine. Our journey began with father and son trio Cesar, Cesar Jr., and Victor. Cesar, a native of Lima, Peru, arrived in the US and landed his first job as a dishwasher in a Peruvian restaurant, Inti Raymi, in NYC.

He quickly climbed the ranks to become a line cook, immersing himself in the vibrant flavors and traditional Peruvian dishes that would later become the backbone of The Lomo Truck Menu. Encouraged by friends and family who fell in love with his cooking. One night, Cesar's Jr. was craving a late night snack of lomo saltado and it sparked the idea of The Lomo Truck. Then Cesar ventured out to New Jersey, setting up four locations in Woodland Park, Garfield, Jersey City, and Passaic. A truly Latin and Hispanic-owned business continues the legacy of Peruvian gastronomy in their own unique way.
